Stacy Sochacki has served as the executive director of the American Board of Healthcare Interior Design (AAHID), National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) and its foundation, the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN), the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing (ABNN), the Certification for Disability Management Commission (CDMS-C) and as the interim executive director for the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists (SCA) and the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN).
In addition to her association management experience, Stacy has 40 years of experience working as a healthcare executive, including 20 years as an assistant professor teaching in a graduate program in health administration and 10 years guiding volunteer boards.
Having served on and led numerous community boards and staffing a hospital board, she understands the role of the volunteer—and has been known to visit board members in their workplace to fully gain their perspective and understand their work style. She has also been involved in the development of succession planning and leadership pipeline development for a few of these organizations. Stacy has many passions, all which use her talent for strategic and goal-oriented thinking. She is passionate about helping boards reach for exceptional governance to lead their profession and association now and in the future.
If you know Stacy, you’re waiting for mention of her other passion—golf. “Golf is about life lessons,” says this avid social golfer, who grudgingly admits to a handicap of 23. Among them: concentrate on your own game, focus on the task at hand, and by all means know your goal.
