The HOPA Education Committees are calling for presenters/faculty to submit their suggested presentations for our future educational activities. We understand the proposed presentations will be in preliminary status. Upon acceptance, you will be given guidance and ample time to submit your final program. If you are interested in submitting a presentation please review the speaker submission guidelines.
This is an open call for speakers/faculty to submit ideas throughout the year. During the year the following groups will issue more specific direction on topics or needs. Although all submitted applications will be reviewed by the HOPA education committees. Please know if your topic was not selected it will remain in the system for three years.

BCOP: The HOPA BCOP recertification courses address the five domains of Oncology Pharmacy Specialty Practice. These courses provide BCOP-specific assessments for practicing clinical oncology pharmacists with a need for specific disease prevention and treatment knowledge and strategies.
- BCOP at Annual Conference
Interactive presentations appropriate for practitioners that focus on new and evolving oncology practice and clinical issues and advances.
- Oncology Pharmacy Updates Course
The Oncology Pharmacy Updates Course is an interactive program designed for the practicing advanced level BCOP pharmacist. Covering new and ongoing therapeutic developments that have emerged within the last three years.
- BCOP Self-Study
The self-study will be a series of current articles from primary oncology literature including new therapeutic developments which will cover all BCOP domains and a variety of hematology/oncology patient populations. The modules will incorporate new advances in the literature and new therapeutic developments into case-based reviews.
- Emerging Issues in Oncology Webinars
Review of key findings from clinical and translational research data presented at national oncology meetings. HOPA will assist with financial obligations to attend identified national oncology meetings.

The Annual Conference committee yearly reviews the literature and needs assessments to determine which topics are timely and relevant to pharmacy practitioners. You may submit an open proposal for the committee to review for potential selection or you can check back for the list of topics the committee will be specifically looking for that year’s Annual Conference.
Practice Management: PMP is a 2-day meeting designed to guide oncology pharmacy providers on how to effectively manage the expensive, high risk care and medications they provide, while allowing for new technology implementation, safety improvement, and regulatory compliance.

HOPA will be accrediting ALL educational sessions thus we ask you to provide a detailed description of the topic in which you are proposing to present. To ensure high quality content, we ask that you ensure your presentation meets the most up-to-date clinical practice guidelines and information within the pharmacy scope of practice.
Prepare Your Information Before Submitting
The information submitted will be considered preliminary. You will have time to prepare your final presentation prior to the conference. Please note, in order to meet the educational goals of the association members, HOPA may suggest changes/alterations in the session titles and content of your abstract submission to be included in the final presentation. All the information requested in the application MUST be included in your proposal.
