Manpreet Chahal, PharmD, PhD is a Field Medical Director for Breast Cancer at Pfizer Oncology. He is also an adjunct clinical faculty at Washington State University, College of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences and at University of Washington, School of Pharmacy. Manpreet's PhD dissertation focused on elucidating signal transduction pathways involved in hematologic malignancies. Prior to his transition to pharmaceutical industry, Manpreet worked at Summit Cancer Centers as an Oncology Pharmacist and focused on management of cancer patients being treated with IV and/or Oral chemotherapy and participating in clinical trials.

Manpreet's father was diagnosed in fall of 2017 with High Risk MDS which subsequently transformed to AML in early 2022. For the duration of his father's diagnosis and treatment, Manpreet was involved as his primary caregiver. Despite his training as a cancer biologist and as an oncology pharmacist, the journey of a caregiver was very enlightening to understand the patient's journey through diagnosis and treatment. Manpreet hopes to share his caregiver experience to educate and raise awareness amongst Oncology Pharmacists to assist in better understanding of patient's needs.
