Self Study 2024 Release I: Navigating Oncology Drug Shortages
The incidence of drug shortages are currently at an all-time high, with oncology drug shortages often reported as having the most critical impact on patient care. There remains a paucity of literature outlining best practices for navigating drug shortages, especially specific to the oncology patient population. In this module, we will review literature outlining best practices related to identifying and negating negative consequences of drug shortages, specifically as it relates to the oncology population. This module will review literature exploring strategies to overcome recent drug shortages while also ensuring equity remains uncompromised for underserved patient populations in this public health crisis.
