Dr. DeRemer holds an interest in early phase drug development, novel biomarker assessments in clinical trials, precision medicine, and supportive care in oncology patients.

David DeRemer, Pharm.D., BCOP, FCCP, FHOPA is a Clinical Professor at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and serves as the Assistant Director of Experimental Therapeutics Group (ETG) program at the University of Florida Health Cancer Center.  His teaching, clinical service, and scholarship interests include early phase drug development, novel biomarker assessments in clinical trials, precision medicine, and supportive care in oncology patients.

Dr. DeRemer earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kentucky, College Of Pharmacy in 2002. Following graduation, he completed a PGY1 and a Hematology/Oncology Residency (PGY2) from the UK Medical Center. After his residencies, Dr. DeRemer completed a 1- year oncology fellowship with emphasis in drug discovery and development at the UKCOP.

Dr. DeRemer has actively been engaged with HOPA committees and task forces since 2009. He has served on the Board of Directors and was HOPA President from 2020-2021. Currently, he is a member of the Governance Committee and serves as a mentee for the HOPA Mentorship Program.
